2025 MORGAN CITY CANCELLATION OF ELECTION
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2025
I, Janet Pace, City Recorder and Election Official, hereby give notice of the Cancellation of Election, on September 23, 2025, the Morgan City Council adopted Resolution 25-25 canceling the Morgan City November 7, 2025, Municipal Election and certifying the following: There are three (3) qualifying candidates for three available council seats. Each municipal officer is unopposed. There are no municipal ballot propositions. The following Candidates are considered to be elected to office January 2026: Stephen V Gale - 4 year Mayor term, Jeffery Max Richins - 4 year Council Member term, and Laurann Turner McGuire - 4 year Council Member term.
